TSP’s civil engineers have a long history of work with the City of Rapid City. Here is an update on the current Aspen Avenue Bridge project:
The deck units on the Aspen Avenue Bridge (over the Meade St. Drainage) just south of the Midland Shopping Center on St. Patrick Street were replaced this morning.
This is a 50’ prestressed “double T” deck unit. The units are set in together side by side, the units are tied together by welding together tie plates in the shear key of the adjacent deck units and then the shear key between the units is filled with non-shrink grout.
