Michael Hay’s view of design can be summed up thusly: The right design solution for the right purpose. Form should follow function, not frivolousness. He wants clients to know that we truly do care about getting their projects right. “That’s probably why we start by talking with them instead of at them,” Michael says. In his free time, he likes to volunteer with events for Special Olympics, knowing he will feel a light heart when he leaves the enthusiastic participants. As a remedy for cabin fever during South Dakota’s long winters, Michael turns to “All Green” by Clem Snide.
