Digital Content Creator Tim Bartz brings a passion for creative thinking, a diverse design perspective, and dedication to continuous learning to TSP, Inc.
For Tim, design is more than just visuals. It’s about creating engaging and intentional experiences.
That mindset, paired with natural curiosity, led him to pursue a career in multimedia design.
“I chose to be a multimedia designer because it opens the door to many different disciplines within the design world,” he said. “It allows me to explore, adapt, and continually grow as a creative.”
That drive has been consistent throughout his life. Instead of pointing to a single mentor or influence, Tim credits his commitment to lifelong learning as a major career motivation.
He is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Design Thinking at Radford University, adding to an academic background that includes a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and a master’s degree in creative marketing design from Wayne State College.
Tim grew up in Yankton, South Dakota, where his first job was at the local Wendy’s. But his earliest ambitions were already rooted in creativity.
“When I was little, I wanted to grow up to be a photographer,” he said of a dream realized.
That early interest still shapes his work today, reflected in an appreciation for classical photography and painting techniques.
If given the opportunity, Tim would welcome the chance to sit down with legendary graphic designer Paula Scher to talk shop. Or, if he could step back in time, he would learn post-processing techniques from iconic photographer Ansel Adams.
Before returning to college, Tim spent nearly a decade working in the culinary industry, an experience that adds perspective to his work today.
Like design, the culinary world requires creativity, precision, and the ability to think on your feet, and those valuable skills translate seamlessly into his current role.
Outside of work, family is at the center of everything for Tim, who spends as much time as possible with his wife and their daughter.
Tim is also an adjunct instructor at Mount Marty University. His role includes developing new courses, learning outcomes, and assessment materials.
At TSP, Tim is most excited about the opportunity to create with purpose.
“The best part about my job is the freedom to create what is needed to accomplish our goals,” he said.
“Since day one, it has been clear that the team here is driven by the firm’s strong core values. It makes for a highly collaborative and inclusive environment.”
With a thoughtful creative foundation and enthusiasm for collaboration, Tim is ready to make an impact.
“I’m excited to dive into everything TSP is working on and to grow in this industry,” he said.
