Mike Young recently passed the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) to receive his license as a Registered Architect in Minnesota. Young joined TSP in 2012. A native of Mitchell, SD, he received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2012.

The ARE is developed and maintained by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). The purpose of the exam is to assess the knowledge and skills regarding the practice of architecture. The ARE is a challenging multi-division exam which takes hours and hours of preparation and study. To qualify, candidates are required to earn a degree from a professional program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (B.Arch or M.Arch) as well as meet the experience requirement for their State.
