Congratulations to Jared Nesje on receiving the Leaders & Legacies award from Prairie Business.

The class of 2024 consists of eight exceptional business leaders in the region.

Career accomplishments were considered, as well as the positive impact the professionals have made on their organizations, communities, and industries.

Prairie Business covers South Dakota, North Dakota, and western Minnesota, and seeks nominations from its coverage area each year.

“We are excited to announce the 2024 Leaders & Legacies award honorees,” said Prairie Business Editor Carrie McDermott. “We are thrilled to honor these top executives from our region. They are the region’s leaders who are role models for the next generation.”

Nesje, CEO at TSP since 2015, is profiled on page 23 of the July digital issue of Prairie Business.

An excerpt from Jared’s award announcement
Nesje has long been known as a team member who genuinely cares about others. He’s built a reputation as someone all team members can approach, prioritizing the needs of others. His level of caring continues in his role as CEO, where he engages and encourages all employees to provide ongoing feedback and ideas for improvement.

Company culture under his leadership deserves recognition, as he emphasizes daily the importance of each team member and the intentional nature of the firm’s hiring process. Under Nesje’s leadership, TSP transitioned from a traditional ownership model to employee ownership through an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). This milestone achievement reflects a strong culture and a deep belief in that culture. He guides the team by daily living out the firm’s core values of “we before me,” “design it like we own it,” and “committed to our craft.”
