The new office building for Thrivent Financial’s Emerald Financial Group provides a purpose-built home for a growing team in Rochester, Minn. Designed by TSP, Inc. from the initial feasibility and concept phase, the approximately 5,700-square-foot new building was planned around Emerald Financial Group’s current needs while allowing the organization to expand into additional space as its team grows.

The building accommodates multiple workstations and collaboration space, and the remaining portion of the building is configured as a leasable suite offering flexibility for future occupancy.

Architecturally, the building responds to the character of the growing northwest commercial area with materials and an overall design language that complement other nearby projects with which TSP has been involved. It creates a cohesive architectural presence while allowing the Thrivent Emerald Financial Group to maintain its own identity.

After outgrowing a previously leased office, Emerald Financial decided to make a long-term investment in a new facility instead of moving into another leased space. While accommodating Emerald Financial Group now, it positions the firm to reach a broader goal of expanding its reach and giving back to the community.
