The TSP and Kahler Slater team have designed the Rochester Regional Sports and Recreation complex, a large multi-purpose community and recreation center located in southeast Rochester. Designed to serve athletes, families, tournament organizers, and residents, the development will provide opportunities for youth sports, community events, and outdoor recreation while supporting continued regional growth.

A regional destination for sports and recreation

The outdoor complex consists of eight baseball/softball fields that are adaptable for all ages, 12 tournament-caliber outdoor pickleball courts, a basketball court, and two multi-purpose rectangular fields for soccer and lacrosse. These playing surfaces consist primarily of synthetic turf and are equipped with lighting, extending their use into early spring and late fall and allowing games to continue well into the evening.

In addition to the competition fields, the complex includes a central lawn that is flexible for various community events and an all-ages playground. Other site amenities include food truck hook-ups and a trail connection to the future Willow Creek Trail.

Designed for community impact and future growth

The facility is designed to accommodate regional baseball and softball tournaments, attracting teams and visitors from across the Midwest and generating economic benefits. When not used for tournaments, the facility will remain available as a community asset for club teams, recreational activities, and local programming.

Construction began in 2026 with competition scheduled to begin in spring 2027. The project budget is $65 million.

The complex is also planned with future growth in mind. As part of the long-range vision for the site, the team has designed plans for a potential second phase that would introduce an indoor sports complex.
