Creating environments for career-focused learning

TSP, Inc. is partnering with Southeast Technical College (STC) on the James Abdnor Center for Advanced Manufacturing, a transformative educational facility designed to support workforce development and advanced manufacturing training.

The 53,000-square-foot Abdnor Center will feature state-of-the-art labs, modern classrooms, and collaborative student spaces. The project combines new construction with renovations to the existing welding lab, creating a dynamic facility that will support hands-on education and prepare students for high-demand careers.

The new construction includes a new commons area, a large, flexible classroom that can be configured to different sizes using operable walls, the advanced manufacturing lab, a welding lab addition, and fabrication lab.  

Once complete, the center will stand as a symbol of innovation and opportunity while advancing STC’s mission to empower students through career-focused, experiential learning.

The center is scheduled to open to students in the fall of 2028.

A continuing partnership with Southeast Technical College

The Abdnor Center represents the latest collaboration between TSP and Southeast Technical College.  Over the past several years, the TSP team has helped design a variety of facilities across the STC campus that enhance the student experience and support the needs of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Through thoughtful planning and design, these projects contribute to STC’s commitment to delivering accessible education and workforce training opportunities for the region.
